I live on the fourth floor in a 550 square meter apartment which is quite warm during the day. I bought a 12,000 BTU unit for the living room and an 8,000 BTU unit for the bedroom. A bit over the top in total BTUs, but I have high ceilings and my kitchen is in the same room as my living room, like most tiny New York apartments. Now to the devices themselves - they come well packaged and delivered undamaged. All parts are included and the remote control comes with a battery which is a nice touch. Can't comment on energy efficiency, but the eco mode and timer are a very nice touch that the big names charge extra for (Frigidair, LG, etc.). A digital screen and remote control are also a big bonus. The dimensions of the device also seem a bit more acceptable than other brands (especially the depth and width). It's also important to note that this unit has fan, air conditioner, and dehumidifier modes - the dehumidifier mode is great if you don't need a lot of air conditioning but the room is humid. That would make me an authority on judging this unit, but it got cold in my apartment, all the parts were there, and it's cheaper than the possibly lower quality that the big name puts together.
