On the plus side, the red color is deep, bright and beautiful and the hat holds its shape well. However, this hat is not warm. Particularly interesting: The thick fleece lining doesn't go behind the ear, so the wind whistles through the acrylic yarn despite the double-layered headband. A hat underneath, and yet it wasn't as warm as a good woolen hat. I'm mad at myself for buying this - I was seduced by the cute look of the hat, even though I know acrylic hats are never as warm as wool hats, and worse, they're mostly made out of non-biodegradable plastic. Unfortunately the hat looks like a full winter hat so it will look odd in weather where it would be more appropriate. Long story short, if you need it for really cold weather, this beanie is cute but useless and bad for the environment. .
