This is a great coffee maker! Instead of using paper filters it uses a metal cone so you don't get any paper/cardboard flavors in your coffee and you end up with a lot less waste. I've used a similar coffee maker for many years, but I don't always buy filters and throw them away. The metal cone is very easy to clean; Just pour out the soil and rinse with water. Both the glass carafe and cone are well made and durable. I use it with a flexible neck kettle and get great results. You may need to adjust the grind a bit to get the right pour over time; Based on paper filters in a similar setup I had to be a bit rougher than usual. The instructions on the package will allow you to get excellent results. Makes enough for two (or a coffee drinker!). If you're making the switch from pods or filter coffee, you'll be amazed at how much better it is.
