Review on FlareAlert LED Beacon Pro Road Flare - White: Powerful & Reliable Safety Device by Major Callaham

Useful though. for warning and emergency lighting

The thought of my wife or daughters using traditional burning torches is uncomfortable. You would remember how to unscrew the cap and set it on fire and the danger of burns and the waste of gasoline and the short burn time and. So I bought three FlareAlert Pro. The batteries are snug, but not too tight, and it takes a bit of effort to remove them, but it's not a big deal. It is important to change the batteries every year, even if they are not used, all brands will expire sooner or later. I could keep a few spare AA batteries in my storage bag in case the ones in the pucks run out anyway, but changing batteries at night on the go would be difficult. On the first try, the switch came loose and fell into the block on the first press, breaking the small screw inside. Not impressive. I have to fill it with epoxy or send it back. But I liked them so much that I ordered 3 for each car. Tested on the road at night, they're about as bright as the emergency lights on your car, someone wrote. Their advantages over vehicle hazards are convenience/safety, much longer run times and the ability to place them on the road outside your vehicle as an early warning. Magnets stick well to a metal car (not our Corvette!), street signs, crash barriers, etc. If you lay them on the ground or just look at the edges, they lose about half their effectiveness; If possible, you'll want to attach them to something metallic or prop them up so that the "top" of the washer is facing toward cars approaching you. People argue about whether to keep flares (chemical or LED) in the trunk; The problem is that they can get trapped under your luggage or trunk in a collision. In our thread, I keep them behind my seat because it's a small unused space. At grocery stores, FlareAlerts attach to the inside of the trunk roof with their magnetic feet, out of the way, but they can be removed quickly/easily. I hope they don't come loose and get grabbed by people working on the car.
