Review on Stansport 766 Saddle Bag by Dennis Moonin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value luggage

Most reviews for these saddlebags were positive and I was looking for reasonably priced, well made bags for a small utility bike. I wanted something that would stand up to some abuse but be cheap to replace if destroyed. And their old-fashioned, utilitarian looks didn't bother me. First impression: well made, good materials, excellent value for money. I add a little more fastening to secure it to the bike pack's frame, add extra latches to secure the top flaps to keep the rain out of the wind, and make a few other fastening choices that have nothing to do with the quality of the pack do have pockets. We have cats and buy large plastic bottles of kitty litter and I cut off the tops of 2 empty containers about 1/3 from the top and the bottoms fit nicely in bags leaving some space front to back. to fit small items outside of the plastic liners I made. This gives the bags a consistent shape and a bit of rigidity, as well as added weather protection for your belongings (although I do plan to spray the material with a camping tent waterproofing spray. "Probably the key to the longevity of this product is NOT overloading the bags not designed to carry heavy objects without support.
