I mean they protect the sofa well from dog hair and scratches. The color matched my blue sofa perfectly. Only when I remove dirt with a lint roller or a vacuum cleaner does it start to develop small cracks. How does the white thread come out? It's easy to clean, but the bottom material comes to the surface, I don't know how to explain. I'll wash it and then we'll see what happens. I hope it doesn't fall apart or I'll have to call and return the money. This thing isn't cheap enough to be changed out every few months or so. I've had it 2 weeks and it's already starting to change. But overall a good product if you don't have to vacuum a lot.
