Japanese design Final Audio Sonorous series headphones are the end game for me. I'm not sure about their in-ear headphones, but these IIIs are better (in my opinion) in sound quality than any Hifiman under $400 or permanently veiled Sennheiser sound. The Sonorous III is easy to drive into 16 ohms and delivers a rich, airy, crystal clear sound with tight bass and an exceptional soundstage. I was so impressed that I switched to the Final Audio Sonorous VI with built in tweeters. Given its price, we can speak of perfect sound. I cry to a lot of the songs and it's straight out of a portable CD player. At 8 ohms, no amplifier is needed. I'm not a music lover but I like what I hear.
