Absolutely Great!: Headphones

Far better than the many $1200+ headphones I've heard! Amazing spatiality, detail and bass. Incredibly efficient and easy to drive 8 ohms, no amp required. Truly an underrated giant killer. Absolutely amazing headphones!

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Repair

The sound is ok. The comfort is poor

Somewhat outdated product in 2020. The sound is normal. Not bad, not great. The mids and lower highs are arguably the best here, but again, that's nothing special. The ear pads are tiny, so comfort is just bad. Although the cable construction is nice.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • There are cons

Very preserved sound - closed sound compared to similar products

Headphones are well made and very comfortable. However, the sound does not reach the level of a Beyerdynamic DT770-80 or a similar product. I have an A8000 and I think it's a great product for the price and sound quality, but I don't find it to compare to its contemporaries.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • boring packaging

Good headphones! with headphones

It's going to be short, there's not much to say. It has a pleasant sound, clean and clear timbre. Well built and light on the head. They have good hi-fi sound and retain your attention long enough to enjoy music on your mobile phone or tablet during your listening sessions (low dependency). more power to propel them. That's it, I like them enough to keep them and they compete with more expensive phones because I think they can draw you in with the kind of music you like. They have something…

Hifiman Sennheisers are moving!

Japanese design Final Audio Sonorous series headphones are the end game for me. I'm not sure about their in-ear headphones, but these IIIs are better (in my opinion) in sound quality than any Hifiman under $400 or permanently veiled Sennheiser sound. The Sonorous III is easy to drive into 16 ohms and delivers a rich, airy, crystal clear sound with tight bass and an exceptional soundstage. I was so impressed that I switched to the Final Audio Sonorous VI with built in tweeters. Given its price…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

First of all: I give these phenomenal sounding headphones 4 stars instead of 5 because the wearing comfort of the ear cushions could have been better. However, I once owned Final's original incarnation of the Pandora Hope VI and found these ear pads unbearably uncomfortable. The ear pads are MUCH better on the Sonorous III; I just want the perimeter of the pads to be oval instead of round because my ears don't quite fit the circle. What's notable, however, is how Final's "Home Sound" has…
