This is a bright light that out performs the blurple lights in many ways. I measured the current draw and its a true 100 watts from the wall. I tested it against a "1200 watt" blurple light that draws 235 true watts. At 15 inches this light had an output of around 34,000 Lux while the blurple light had an output of only 19,000 lux at the same distance. This means that while only using 42% of the power, its light output was 179% of the blurple light. I have used lights with these Samsung diodes before and have very good results with plant growth.I will update this review after the first grow is complete, but this light looks like a winner.
