For the previous 8 years, he held nothing but a SLR in his hands. When I was presented with the G15, I was pleasantly surprised at how much the "soap dishes" had advanced during this time. It makes no sense to compare this model with full or partial crop matrices, but for a compact camera that fits in a jacket pocket, it shoots just fine. At the same time, it is also suitable for a beginner, thanks to perfect automation and as a "camping" camera for those who are used to more serious equipment. Honestly - I did not expect from this "soap box" the results that it gives out. It is a pity that Canon decided not to insert a GPS tagger, but, for sure, it will appear in future models. If you understand what you are buying, you will be very pleased with this model.
