Reliable product for all occasions, quality on par.

High-quality and practical advanced compact. If it had a . inch matrix with all the others, for most amateurs there would be a camera for all occasions. PS. Over the years, only made sure that the G15 as a whole was the best in its category. His branch on club. Photo. Ru. is still alive, and the branches of direct competitors withered . Has some pros: Quality build. Convenient manual control. Well sits in the hand. Pretty fast, fast, photo quality is much better than compacts with a matrix of

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I have been using this device for over a year now. What can I say, the device is very well assembled, it's a pleasure to use it. Never failed. The photo quality is good, I only take pictures with manual settings. Ofcomurse, this is a soap dish, although it is advanced and the photo qualitycomrresponds to an advanced soap dish, even an entry-level SLR is not acompetitor. After a year of use, I was drawn to better equipment, I will take a DSLR, but this camera will be like a spare pocket option…

Pros
  • Compact, fits in almost any pocket. Sturdy case, well made.
Cons
  • Haven't found it in over a year.

Best price for this product, will buy more!

I had both G7 and G9 and G11 - over time I gave them to my nephews - and I stick to this line - it's painfully easy to use - even children get great photos. The colors are bright, the high-level stabilizer - you can take cool pictures on the go - not every optic can do this . it's clear that this is a pure figure - but it practically does not become outdated . The G7 still works, although its resource has long been exhausted. . High reliability housing. Great choice.

Pros
  • Photo quality is very high
Cons
  • a small increase (optical), but it's compact. Be sure to buy a good case - to extend the life of your purchase - less shock, less temperature fluctuations.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

For the previous 8 years, he held nothing but a SLR in his hands. When I was presented with the G15, I was pleasantly surprised at how much the "soap dishes" had advanced during this time. It makes no sense to compare this model with full or partial crop matrices, but for a compact camera that fits in a jacket pocket, it shoots just fine. At the same time, it is also suitable for a beginner, thanks to perfect automation and as a "camping" camera for those who are used to more serious equipment.

Pros
  • Excellent automation, very decent shooting quality for a compact camera, surprisingly good shooting in low light (including at night). Excellent build quality and materials. The presence of a manual mode. A bunch of modern software "chips"
Cons
  • In 2022 - inadequately expensive accessories

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

bought in Cambodia as a second fotik paired with the D700. after receiving the results from Lightroom, he left it without hesitation. Canon finally did not spare a good glass for a compact and as a result, the best compact that could be held in hands (corrected for the Panasonic LX7 - it has bypassed it for the time being expensive). that's what the G9 was supposed to be.

Pros
  • - magnesium body - Raw - good focal lengths for zoom - The MOST important thing is excellent aperture glass. It allows you to adequately shoot at iso400 in the evening city, and at 1.8 even blur the background or at the far end at 2.8 it’s even worse - it somehow resembles the initial level of DSLRs. -FullHD Video - the picture is dense and does not break up into loose pixels like regular soap - sane (even very decent) autofocus - hot shoe
Cons
  • - 28mm wide is not enough, I want 24mm - Batteries last for a long time, but on the road a spare must be - no USB cable included - save money!

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Not only the lens, but also all other optical surfaces are too optimistic, in my opinion, left uncovered or not recessed enough in the body. So it seems too easy to scratch something. However, so far this has not happened. Although, in a couple of months, about 2 thousand pictures were taken. The camera is mostly worn in a very successful LowePro Santiago 30 bag. Bought in July for ~~18900. Although it was possible to order via the Internet for 5 thousand cheaper. This is a fee for the…

Pros
  • professional functionality and ergonomics; work speed; relatively long battery life; flawless assembly;
Cons
  • "marked" lens: it is too easy to accidentally touch the lens glass, as it is minimally recessed into the lens body; happens after manipulating the settings, autofocus gets lost (turning off and on helps)

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but it was a pleasant surprise.

I used canon G11 and G1 X. And I can say with confidence that compared to model 11, 15 did not become some kind of breakthrough or cool novelty. The final frame quality remains comparable, especially if you also process the photo. The high aperture of the lens is, of course, good, but it does not affect the quality and convenience of shooting as much as we would like. For example on G11 with max. aperture 2.8 in an ordinary apartment with two lighting lamps at iso 100, shutter speed is about

Pros
  • -very compact - classically high quality case and workmanship - excellent optics - convenient, simple menu that has not changed for ten years -excellent color rendition of frames, good detail and naturalness -On an open aperture, you can blur the background, despite the small matrix - Efficient in-camera JPEG processing -Fast zoom operation
Cons
  • - Noises, they are still much more noticeable than on mirrorless ones. starting from iso 400 detail is noticeably reduced - The grip of the body is slightly less comfortable compared to the G11 or 12 -As always, uncomfortable eyelets under the belt. when canon guess to make them rotating? - the battery is weak - only enough for half a day of intensive amateur shooting -no ISO selection ring, which was very convenient in previous models.

I am not disappointed, the quality is satisfying.

Disappointed in digital photography. The prices are insane, the results are not up to par. I shoot on film. But I think a good compact should be, so that it would always be at hand. I haven’t bought this camera yet - I’m waiting for either the price to drop, or even better, an analogue with a swivel screen will come out. Maybe manufacturers will listen to the opinion of consumers

Pros
  • High-aperture optics, finally.
Cons
  • Eh, the ideal camera would be, but the innovators decided to screw up . they removed the rotary screen. On to the same way to spoil the idea. There would be a swivel screen - an ideal compact camera.

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

With its pros. I don't know much about photography, but this one has amazing light sensitivity. All photos are crisp and clear. Even in poor lighting conditions, the camera manages to make masterpieces, without unnecessary noise. It is convenient to use, I have not seen before that video shooting can also be done in custom modes (there is a separate button for video that works in the set mode). I took photos underwater - unusually, excellent pictures. + A large number of manual settings, bu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

In AUTO mode, the auto selection of focus points works fine, (intuitively guessing the subject), although this does not affect the quality of the pictures, the very “Canon” zest is missing (the pictures are not tasty, if I may say so) front. If you print photos 10x15, then there are no questions. For those who picked up a CANON camera for the first time, the attached instructions will obviously be missed. Whoever this is not the first acquaintance will understand that, in fact, there is nothing

Pros
  • One of the advantages of the G15 camera is a quick start. (when compared with Nikon p7700) Good display (the fact that it is not rotatable is more of a matter of taste) Dimensions allow you to carry it in your pocket, and it's convenient. The camera can be operated with one hand. Not heavy, fits comfortably in the hand. That's probably all.
Cons
  • The lens aperture is highly questionable and looks more like a publicity stunt by the company. Camera settings are comparable to a cheap "soap box". From the pre-installed options, the necessary ones disappeared ("Landscape"), and instead of them the unnecessary ones appeared. ("Poster", "Toy Camera") If anyone needs such modes, he will shoot on the "mobile". CANON colors do not solve the issue of sharpness, it is not enough in comparison with p7700.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Single-lens compact cameras with fixed lenses are needed as a class. And do not compare them with DSLRs. Why are they needed? Because they are convenient, everything is included, they are immediately ready for work, for dummies they work well on the machine, for non-dummies you can set up and manage the process. In digital cameras, first of all, everything is determined by the matrix and processor, and lenses and functions can already be wound around them. In general, I was a theoretical…

Pros
  • Price at those capabilities and image quality A new excellent lens with an optimal range of focal lengths. The new powerful processor and the consequences of it: fast turn on, fast focusing, fast shooting of a series of frames (10 per second). fast rewind of captured frames, high-speed video recording of 120 and 240 frames per second (with partial resolution). Lots of different features. Recording in RAW and high-quality in-camera JPG. Small size and weight - in a case it will fit into a large pocket, Ergonomics: many buttons and adjustment wheels, in the tradition of a DSLR.
Cons
  • There are shortcomings, but not critical. For me, this is Canon's traditional color work. However, there is chromatic aberration. Above, they wrote here that it can be removed in processing programs, well, this needs to be done on purpose.

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

Very pleased with the camera. Never wished I had bought it. Despite some shortcomings, the device deserves 5 stars. For the sum of the most important advantages allows you to break away from competitors - compacts. Got pros: Listed in descending order of importance: 1. Fast optics (1.8-2.8) And this is at 5x zoom! 2. Optimal, universal range of focal lengths (28-140). 3. Good image processor. In particular, noise reduction, which allows you to "smooth out" noise when increasing iso. At…

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

I bought it to replace my combat G9 and did not regret it, everything for which I appreciated my previous non-killable camera is only lighter, with new features and a better lens. The transition was completely painless and the impressions so far are only positive. At the same time, the G15, unlike the G10, G11, G12 and G1 X, is much thinner and, in terms of ergonomics, is much closer to compact cameras. I deeply respect modern photographic equipment with large lenses and modern mirrorless…

Pros
  • - optics - matrix 1/1.7 - price - light body - intelligent automatic mode - advantages of previous G-series cameras
Cons
  • - there is no swivel screen, but the camera itself is thin, so the issue is debatable - I have not yet found more shortcomings, and it is unlikely that they exist

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

The battery eats up quickly if the options for continuous and tracking autofocus are enabled. If the tracking is still sometimes useful, then I advise you to turn off the continuous immediately. If you turn them off, then the battery is enough for 300 shots, but for me it's 2 days =) I shot mostly in RAW in aperture priority mode, sometimes in manual. With the help of the Digital Photo Professional program in the kit (I only advise you to ate it right away), it is very easy to process. In…

Pros
  • Quality materials, comfortable to hold The quality of the pictures, but of course you should not compare with DSLRs =) Lots of manual settings fast lens The matrix is larger than that of ordinary soap dishes. The truth is smaller than the Sony RX100, respectively, and the quality is worse, but the price is 2 times lower. compactness Holds battery well (see comment) Up to ISO 1600, you can safely shoot, there is little noise (unless, of course, compared with DSLRs)
Cons
  • Bad viewfinder Inadequately shows the display of the battery level Marked lens, often accidentally touched the lens glass, so I advise you to wear a special cloth to wipe the lens. Video shoots high quality in FullHD, but only 24 frames. Also slow zoom in movie mode. No swivel display

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

I couldn't be happier with the camera. Never once did I regret not purchasing it. The product still merits five stars even though it has a few drawbacks. Since the accumulation of your most significant advantages enables you to get an advantage over your most formidable rivals, compacts. Got pros: Following is a list, in decreasing order of importance: 1. Quick optics (1.8-2.8) Note that this is at a 5x magnification! 2. range of focus lengths that is optimal and applicable universally…

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

I choose a compact camera to pair with my "reflex" camera with a dozen lenses. And therefore I approach this issue seriously, I walk around the shops and test. First of all, I check the matrix noise using a special test, since this problem can ruin all the other advantages. 1) Even if you shoot in JPG, the extremely small (negligible) noise starts from ISO 800-1000 and up to 1600 is quite working. I am shocked by such high parameters! Few competitors, even much more expensive ones, perform so…

Pros
  • Compact compared to the "SLR". Low noise level. Convenient management. Low price for now.
Cons
  • I would like a lens with a width of 24 mm. Optical viewfinder - however, you can ignore it

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

A very good camera!. I haven’t been using it for long yet, and theoretically you can expect something unpleasant in terms of a purely technical one, but it’s made in Japan . I’ve had three cameras of the same series and everything is fine with them. . Has some pros Compared to G12, since it is positioned as a continuation, there are quite a few pluses: - very good aperture (you can not increase the sensitivity now in those cases where, when using, for example, a Canon G1x camera, you could not

Terrible quality, disappointed with the purchase.

G 15 tym owned four hours. I didn’t feel any greater disappointment from the purchase. Until this year, there was Nikon P7100. Everything would be fine, but landscapes, alas, this product gave out disgusting quality. Crystal sharpness of the foreground and absolutely failed distance. clouded with a gray-blue haze. Bad in one word. I had to edit through Photoshop. What. one cannot say about the pictures of the blessed but deceased G9 from Canon. This one did everything right and the air is…
