I bought these thinking it would be easier to put the chains on. In fact, the installation is easy at the first time. Once dirt gets into the ratchets, they will not loosen and unravel easily. You also need both hands to loosen the ratchet, so I had to pull the fabric strap with my teeth. That's what crossed my mind after only riding it a few hundred yards before I had to take them off. Driving with these chains is very noisy and clumsy. I only made it the length of a football field before one of them broke off and started making lots of annoying noises in my wheel well. If your goal is just to get out of the hole, these chains will help. If you want to go over 20 mph for a longer distance, spend your money on some rope chains.
