From a player's point of view.

I wanted to clarify something about that. First I wanted to say that I have the 250 ohm version and love it. People say a lot of good and bad things. I upgraded mine and saved money so I had no hesitation in making a deal. If you just buy them and hook them up to an Xbox or no amp and can't afford it yet, buy something else or wait until you can afford it because the amp will amp them up. Next level sounds even at lower settings. Unless you've pushed yourself to the limit by setting the gain to maximum and sniper mode on the amp, they don't really sound as bad as you might think. Once you turn them on they are, and will be, very tiring, but I personally don't see anyone who can comfortably do this for hours, it's loud and no game should be loud enough to hear a goddam footstep. You can hear a lot more at lower settings, trust me. These are the most comfortable headphones I've ever experienced. An open back is what you need. If you have all the money in the world I would suggest getting a pair with a detachable cable and a solid amp, but to be honest you don't need any of that to feel premium. Be careful with them and they will last. I've paired them with a cheaper Sound Blaster G5 and they're amazing. I will never buy "gaming" headphones again. I use a blue Yeti USB mic, but there are other options if you want a cheaper mic. I know there's been a lot of "ninja" hype surrounding them, but they live up to it. He used them because they sound fantastic. So in my version with an updated model and a cheap amp, you can't buy better headphones for around $200. I had the latest Corsair wireless gaming headphones and they just didn't work for me so I returned them and tried these. The best thing about Amazon is that if you don't like what you got, you can return it and buy what you like. Be true to yourself with what you have and don't be afraid to give back if you're really unhappy with the product, but I know you'll love it as much as I and many others do. Either this setup or something similar from a real audio company, you can't go wrong. The previously mentioned PS booster works with Xbox, PS4 and PC. I'm playing on PC for reference only. Research what you are buying. In conclusion, I just want to say that compared to gaming headphones, they are worth their price. Thank you for reading this and I hope it has helped you decide what works best for you.
