Not the strongest, but strong enough!
That's weird, I haven't used this hand to hold a reflector before. However, I have used it to hang violins on product photo shoots. Works great for this type of use! The clamps don't seem to be the tightest, but they should hold a centered reflector with no problem. If you had a reflector on one side you would probably want to balance the opposite side.
