I'm not sure how it's supposed to work if it doesn't work on Windows with the drivers/software provided. Also got a computer wizard (Linux user) to poke around on this: Results: Junk. find something better The best way to do this is to use velcro and insert a card you may need when you are in the spot where you need it. I used for my gate key to the apartment building I was staying in.
