Everything is fine. They are smaller scissors and are suitable for a small hand. However, I find them too "tough" and don't cut as well as I would like. I tried putting a drop of machine oil on the blades and where the blades connect (small screw). Maybe that helped a little. I think stainless steel blades are still best for fabric cutting and sewing. Maybe they'll loosen up a bit over time.
