These knee pads are very warm and you will feel it as soon as you put them on. My knee hurts in cold winters and I used to wear lined pants that aren't even as warm as these in the knee area. Also, it doesn't look as clunky as the description might suggest. Velcro keeps them in place, although they feel a little loose, elastic straps on top/bottom could be better. It would also be better if there were indicators to distinguish the top from the bottom as the bottom velcro is slightly shorter than the top. All in all it was worth it and now my knee is warm and pain free. Many Thanks.
