does the trick! - Knee Pads

I have 2 prosthetic knees and I have noticed that they get really cold in the freezing conditions. These knee pads are perfect for preventing "freezing ankles" but they don't stay in place very well. I tried tucking them under my spats but they still slipped off. I ended up pinning them to my pants.

  • Good product for the price

Good Price Knee Pads

Okay, but does anyone make a velcro that actually snaps together so it doesn't snag on the fabric you're wearing? I would recommend these if you're wearing jeans, but beware if they're nylon etc. You won't like the way it looks when you take these things off. Otherwise 5 stars.

  • There are other interesting options.

Suitable for children and small women. Men should look elsewhere.

One strap is slightly longer than the other. I was able to get the Velcro to touch one strap but the other wasn't even close. (also swapped top to bottom and it was the same problem). My wife is much smaller than me and they were too small for her too.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some small things

Great for Chicago winters

Wife has to walk about a mile from train to work in cold downtown Chicago. She has a long down jacket, but she complained that her knees still get cold when she walks. I bought them for her because I'm a great husband and Christmas is just around the corner. she loves them She said they kept her knees nice and warm. Now maybe I can get the crossbow I had my eye on. Cha Ching!

Ideal as protection against cold wind on a motorcycle!

I wear them under my motorcycle pants, they are not as bulky as in the picture so you forget you are actually wearing them. When the temperature drops, day and night are different! I would have liked the velcro contact area to be a bit larger (sometimes my calves stay warm when it slides down) but overall a great product nonetheless! They also get very small when you squeeze the air out of them, making them travel-friendly!

Very warm and well made

These knee pads are very warm and you will feel it as soon as you put them on. My knee hurts in cold winters and I used to wear lined pants that aren't even as warm as these in the knee area. Also, it doesn't look as clunky as the description might suggest. Velcro keeps them in place, although they feel a little loose, elastic straps on top/bottom could be better. It would also be better if there were indicators to distinguish the top from the bottom as the bottom velcro is slightly shorter…

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Cozy, warm and safe!

Great idea to make knee pads out of down. We've had a mild winter apart from a big snow storm, but I got them in time to wear when I go out to clear the snow off my steps. They are very soft and adjustable enough for different knee sizes and they stay on without being too tight. They don't put much pressure on the patella which is very handy for me as I have intrapatellar osteoarthritis which makes even a little pressure uncomfortable so I can't wear fleece bike knee pads. I'm very glad I found

  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

good for indoors and out

Alaska can get cold—ultra-super-cold, in fact. In early winter or fall, they helped a bit with my overall shift system. I can only use them for a limited time as long as the temperature isn't too bad - as you know, it's not winter here all year round. I felt they were too short and should cover more above and below the knee. My legs aren't that big and I still have trouble with the velcro winch, which could have been longer. Since they are left out, you need to keep them fluffy or they won't…
