Great idea to make knee pads out of down. We've had a mild winter apart from a big snow storm, but I got them in time to wear when I go out to clear the snow off my steps. They are very soft and adjustable enough for different knee sizes and they stay on without being too tight. They don't put much pressure on the patella which is very handy for me as I have intrapatellar osteoarthritis which makes even a little pressure uncomfortable so I can't wear fleece bike knee pads. I'm very glad I found something that protects my knees from the extreme cold, but is soft and comfortable at the same time.
