Review on Intermatic WP1100WC Vertical Horizontal Weatherproof by Gordon Turman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad, could be better, but still 4 stars.

Fits the application we bought it for. It looks good and the door is secured with a small tab to contain any cables that are sticking out. The weight of the plastic seems a bit flimsy to me. But once in place, it seemed secure. Maybe a little heavier. The housing as a whole is protected by an interchangeable faceplate that fits your socket type. Because of this, you need to hold on to 2 parts before screwing it in. It also has a slotted screw hole where the hole on one side is big enough for the screw head to pop out and then slide to screw in. . Well, it all got a little annoying trying to hold everything together and align the slots, screws, and screw holes. But eventually he put it on. I felt like I couldn't get the screws all the way down as screwing them back in could damage the plastic faceplate. I wish this part was more durable. I wish the case had the hardware to lean on the socket box. Also if you have provided hardware to mount it on a wall with siding. Due to the slope of the siding, it rises slightly. I was going to cut out the siding and install a finished curb, but I found that to be too much work. 4 stars because we like it. But I will definitely consider a different product for the next pair.
