I prefer stick

The sharpener is easy to use and safer to use. He works by drawing the knife through the slots a few times, and each time the knife gets sharper with each stroke. There are two slots. One with a silver blade and the other with a whitish blade. I prefer the white blade because it feels smoother. My knives get stuck on the silver edge or I feel like I should pull a little harder. On the opposite side it has a handle to hold and push it when needed and to ensure it doesn't slip or slide across the counter. The sharpener is small and very light (much lighter than I expected) but it still works. Having used this a few times I'm kind of on the fence with this one, but I think I gravitate more towards the knife sharpening rod than this style. Personal preference only, not because there is anything wrong with this product.
