The magnet is too strong, so you have to use a lot of force to detach the door from the wall. I cut a tiny square out of a 3M poster hanger - the part that didn't have adhesive on the front - and stuck it into the concave part of the stop that goes towards the door. This creates enough distance to the magnet so that it does not become extremely sticky. I attached the items with the 3M stickers that came with the items. It works well. No screws required. The product was poorly packaged - metal parts scratched each other. Overall not bad but 2 stars removed as I need to change the item to make it work. The sticker came off by itself. I do not recommend if you want to glue it.
