If you buy something like this expect it to last a long time as it contains photos, videos, important documents and the like. One would think that everyone involved would know that this is sensitive and that postal couriers can be careless. Did that stop them from just tossing the hard drive unprotected in a medium-sized box? Absolutely not, I was disgusted when I opened it up and it just shook in a huge box with zero bubble wrap and paper. Nothing! I announced the ride, light in my ear, I could hear the interior moving, which is never a good thing. I now have an expensive hard drive that I don't want to use as a backup due to its loose internals. I need to back up photos and videos of my kids growing up, this will not die as the drive can fail at any time. . I highly recommend buying yourself from a store or supplier who will ensure the product reaches you safe and sound. Completely dissatisfied with this purchase.
