This is a really nice light and the price couldn't be better! I will include some installation tips from my point of view, since there are some complaints in this area due to the instructions. First of all I've installed lights before AND I read other reviews before purchasing so I didn't bother with instructions. In my opinion it's pretty easy anyway. Before you begin, have a pair of light work gloves ready as the unit will isolate your hands. Trust me on that! If I remember correctly, the mounting screws for the light were already in the bracket, so don't remove - just check they're screwed in deep enough for a secure fit. Then install the mounting bracket, which should be quick and easy if you're replacing an existing bracket (which I did). Then, wearing gloves, I stripped the insulation to make two holes in the template for the screws to go through. This visibility allowed me to aim the light perfectly so I could connect the wiring without worrying about having to rotate the fixture in place and with it your wiring in the process. It also provides better access for tightening those screws after your wires are connected and you have the light in place. After tightening the screws well and securely, I plugged most of the hole that the screw head goes through before adjusting, thus avoiding the possibility of light shifting in the future when changing bulbs etc. I actually just used smaller wire nuts to plug the holes and just glue them to hold them in place. I hope that makes sense! I felt it made the whole jig more secure as it is the only means of holding the jig in place. Finally, simply screw in the threaded rod to attach the globe and align it as needed. FYI, the rod does NOT screw into the mount through the mount - it is purely for mounting the globe - this is an area where I think the design could use some improvement. All in all it took me about twenty minutes by myself and it might have been quicker if I had someone to help me hold the device while I wired it up. The light is very attractive and the price is great considering the high quality, so I don't want anyone to turn it down because of unclear instructions. I highly recommend you give this beautiful light a try!
