Too much glare from the glass
I wanted to use these lamps in the living room above the end tables to provide additional living room lighting. My dogs were knocking over lamps on small tables and breaking them so I decided to hang them up. They were too bright through the clear glass and I just didn't like the way they looked. I tried delicate yellow ornamental bulbs, but there wasn't enough light. I ended up using lamps of different shades that I bought at a local hardware store.
