Review on Hamilton Beach Centrifugal 2 Speeds 67850 by Brian Shakey

I bought this solely for juicing celery and this is my first juicer. I was concerned about the negative comments about it being "over the counter". When I first used it, this thing purred like a kitten and did its job. After about 3 uses and halfway through the celery I noticed that the celery was difficult to get down and had to be coaxed with heavy pressure on the plunger. Then he began the infamous "dancing" around the counter. I found the reason and the solution. The filter has small micro blades. When they get clogged, they stop cutting. If they stop cutting and more pressure is applied, the screen will not sit properly on the base causing it to fail and begin to wobble. What I did was look down the chute, see the clogged blades, unplug, take out the filter, rinse it and put it back on the base properly. Problem solved. Works like new.again. So don't apply excessive pressure, don't use force, and if you're cutting very rough objects, check the blades regularly and clean them if necessary. Now everything works great and fast.
