I was actually looking for towels that looked like my grandmother's flimsy old spare towels. Something with random patterns and thin enough to wrap around and sit on without being stiff and uncomfortable. I also wanted something not thick because I like to wrap myself in a towel while drying my hair. i do other things just because i don't want to wear clothes lol sometimes terry towels are so thick you end up sweating when you put them on LOLI love this towel. I have the purple, it's beautiful on the towel rail. It dries GREAT as it is thin and dries quickly when wet. My daughter is almost 4 years old and I have to be careful that she doesn't grab her instead of her plush blanket because she likes it too. It's not the softest thing, but it's not spiky or anything like that. I sincerely believe this is correct. we plan to buy more
