16 Sticks? More than we could ever need but as they come in a nice storage pouch I'm sure we'll be happy to have them on hand in the future. We've used them to roast marshmallows a few times. They are a good length and our 6.5 year old was able to use them. They're light and perfect for marshmallows. I don't know how to cook hot dogs with it. I'm sure it will work, but if that's your main goal I would suggest finding stronger sticks.
