Review on Zote Laundry Soap Bar Pink by Jessica Lawson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've been using it for my beauty blender/sponge for 3 years now and it works great!

I've been using it for about 3 years now, mainly on my beauty blenders/sponges. It removes ALL products from every sponge I've used it on (which is many different brands as I'm not too picky) including cream blush which usually stains sponges. I think it makes sense now that I think about it since it's laundry soap! πŸ˜‰ I use it for some of my hard to clean makeup brushes, mainly foundation and powder brushes that get stuck in the product. I don't use it on my eye shadow brushes as I never hold them under water which is necessary to wash off the soap. But it works great for the big ones. I prefer this 10x over dish soap. Dishwashing liquid really "works," as they say, but not nearly as well as it is. I always find that dish soap is really hard to get out of the sponge and often doesn't remove the product completely. Here's how I use it to clean sponges: First, I hold a bar of soap under the faucet for a split second to wet the surface. I then soak the sponge completely in water and DO NOT wring it out (which I think is the key to easier/faster rinsing). Then rub a bar of soap over any stains with product and immediately wring out, rinse and repeat until water runs clear. Continue this process and your sponge will be shiny and clean! The product is so gentle and has a very light scent that you won't even feel it on the sponge. Especially if you have an aversion to stronger scents, which I definitely have. It's beautiful and super light. I've never noticed any skin irritation from it either. I snap pretty easily so I know in all this time it definitely hasn't led to it! Using it the way I have is the last time a bar of soap has lasted a year since the pandemic and I haven't worn makeup. almost as often as before. Before that, the bar had probably lasted AT LEAST a good 6 months. I still have a few small pieces that I use. For the price you absolutely can't go wrong!
