Great commuter bike fenders in the rain and a must have tip for installation

I have never written a review but felt the need for this product. I live in a rainy climate and these fenders have been on the bike for 3 weeks now. This is a nice but old rigid mountain bike that I use for commuting every day. These wings work great. There is some spray coming out of the front fender at the back which gets the shoes wet, but I don't think that can be avoided in heavy rain. They are light enough to add to a commuter bike. The fenders come with a variety of nuts, bolts, washers and mounting brackets. I have an older Specialized RockHopper full frame and to attach the rear frame mount I had to drill a small hole in the fender to attach the fender to the top of the rear fork with a bolt and washer. Not so hot what's up; additional hex bolts were supplied to match the specified mounting position of the frame for the fenders. The entire installation process was quick. I didn't buy clincher tires for extra support for the wings. This was not necessary for the front wing; However, the rear fender had no clearance or stiffness and required (for my bike) an extra stroke up and back to keep the fender from touching the rear wheel. This problem was solved by making the same simple hanger hoop out of thick wire that you can buy. Again, the abundance of screws/bolts and washers allowed a simple eye hook to be used on each end of the hanger to attach to the pre-installed frame mounting threads (for fender or rack) and the hanger snaps onto a clip on the inside of the fender that used by a commercially available mount. It's an easy and quick fix and after three weeks and over 300 miles it's still working.
