Maria's comment of December 22, 2018 was just a fluke! When I first got my watch and followed the instructions to set it for 5:58am then put the batteries in and at 6am it was supposed to ring 6 times but it rang twice! That was the beginning of my disappointment. Then I took out the batteries and reinstalled 5:58 hours. And when it struck 6 o'clock twice, I pressed the red button, and then it rang three times, I pressed the red button again, and so on, until the red button made the clock strike six times, and then VOILA! Since I set the clock in the evening, I may find that it's off and ringing late at night since it doesn't really ring between 10pm and 6am, so I just set it back in the morning.
