Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Grey 9-Speed SRAM PC 971 P-Link Bicycle Chain by Jerry King

Excellent chain suitable for parts and components

An excellent choice among bicycle chains without a doubt. Not for a minute. I hesitate to recommend it as a great chain replacement. Just a quick note you might want to consider. Like most of you, I struggle to get the best return on my investment. Lots of expensive fancy lubricants. Special machines for cleaning chains, which causes the chains to wear out fairly quickly. Here's what I found. As soon as you add oil to the chain, the problems begin. Within 2 seconds of starting a ride, this fancy lube turns from a lube into a very effective lapping compound. Dust and grit begin the quick process of grinding your new chain to a quick death. Even so-called dry lubricants are not much better. What I'm currently doing is very simple, inexpensive, and has tripled the life expectancy of the chain. In addition, there is no more oil on the legs, all components remain clean and shifting is greatly improved. A few blocks of Parrifin canning wax melted in the pan. Soak the chain. Hang and let cool and install. Easy. With a chain parking sensor I can't believe how long these awesome chains last. Best of all: no mess. Watch youtube videos on how to apply wax.
