Didn't work at first. called an electrician. He was out of the house for two minutes while I explained the situation to him. He asked if I had connected the blue wire in the fan housing to the black house wire. I said no. Didn't pay much attention to the "blue" wire as the fan originally didn't have a light, so it didn't bother me. I was just following instructions that didn't say anything about the "blue" wire (at least I think I'm right). They told me it was my problem. Do not connect the blue wire to the main black wire. Twenty minutes after he/she arrived they were gone and I was a hundred and eighty dollars off!
