Review on 3 Pcs Faucet Aerator Set for Kitchen Sink and Bathroom - Male Thread, Multiple Flow Options, Chrome Finish by Ken Wilson

Doesn't fit Moen water saving faucet, silly design that sticks out over the threads.

I ordered this item because I needed to install a 1.5 GPM aerator. There were four options: 1.2 gallon, 1.5 gallon, 1.8 gallon, and 2.5 gallon. The only one that fits flush in is 2.5 gallons. But this is for an apartment building, the city has laws and inspectors to make sure no bathroom faucet is more than 1.5 gallons, so I have to install the 1.5 gallon version of that. Its 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8 gallon versions do not fit flush. The bathroom faucet, like most California bathroom faucets, has a hole that prevents excess water use, so you have to flush mount it like regular aerators, but this one sticks out about a quarter of an inch above the threads, making this impossible. screw into the faucet. It just can't work like what I shot and everything I've ever seen is engineered. If someone has an old faucet that was hollow inside it might work, but if you're using a modern faucet that's designed to prevent excessive water flow, you can't put anything in it that isn't flush with the aerator threads. So it's impossible to install, it's just stupidly designed, the person who designed it didn't bother to test it on a range of modern bathroom faucets, it only works on a faucet with a large open space inside above the aerator. The aerator I removed was about a quarter inch longer so was flush when installed so there was no problem, this protrudes well past the threads making it impossible to use. Better photos would have made it possible to see how functionless this construction is, but they cleverly disassembled it in the photo so you can't see how it's put together. They knew it wouldn't work on many faucets and probably decided it was too cheap an item to return. I have used a Moen faucet, I have probably installed more than 100 aerators in my life, everything went smoothly and worked in apartments. This one is completely different, poorly designed, and unless you have a lot of room above the thread line in the bathroom faucet, it won't screw all the way in. If you take your phone and look inside where the aerator goes you can see if it is flush or not which can tell you if this aerator can work for you or not. Most quality bathroom faucets now come with a water restrictor, and you can't use three of the four options on this one.
