I was hoping it wasn't as bad as some of the Top Flex reviews are suggesting. I bought it hoping to fix a canoe but decided to fix a small tank first. I managed to repair and even strengthen the tank with the help of 2 vendor sticks. Even with the slightest pressure, the tip was bent. I received a message from the seller asking about my experience and my concerns about what I intend to use it for prior to writing this review. They reported that this tool is not intended for repairs like canoes, only for small items. I don't know it was much smaller than the small engine tank I was fixing. (Yes, it's gone, the tank was washed and vented before the repair.) I believe that either the metal of the tip is of poor quality, or a small part of the shaft cannot withstand the heat. I plan to return this item to Revain and see if there is anything better. I am just angry that I wasted my time with a poor quality product and will not fix the canoe. The best advice. DO NOT BUY
