It's easy to figure out where to drill a hole when adding shelves.
Just find a line where the bottom of your shelf will be and drill there. The flat is designed to lie on the center line of the peg. Drill a hole so the entire pin fits in the hole so the shelf can be cut to the width of the cabinet.
