Review on U Turn Audio Turntable Built Preamp by Steve Campbell

We ordered this turntable because I wanted to upgrade my Audio-Technica. Just wanted something prettier with more cartridge options. I still have to get used to it, but it looks great on my record shelf. My AT had an auto return and I would stop the recording when it was over, which is what I would want Orbit to be (I'd be happy even if the tape just stopped spinning) because if I leave the room or what anyway - something like that, I don't want my cartridge to be resting on the spinning record. The sound quality is definitely better than my AT, but the hand feels very light and I hear a faint clicking, popping and popping which I tried to get rid of by waving the aluminum foil next to it. The arm also wiggles a bit when I walk past the player (and I'm a short lady!) so I'll have to figure out if I can adjust the tension or something. Overall though I hear an improvement in the sound quality which is a great thing and I'm very glad that this option will be available to me if I ever decide to upgrade the cartridge!
