I am writing this detailed review because no comprehensive reviews were available at the time of publication. It still seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" devices. I hope this review helps you decide if this device is right for you. ** Who is this device for? **I bought the Spire because I was looking for a way to track my stress levels throughout the day. As a full-time student and part-time employee, I experience a lot of stress. I was looking for a device to control my stress so I could learn my triggers. The Spire tracks your daily steps, but I wouldn't call it a fitness tracker by any means.** Device comfort/aesthetics **The Spire is great. The back of the device is soft and I never feel it rub against my skin in everyday use (most of the time I completely forget I'm wearing it). I usually attach the Spire to the inside of my jeans (right where the front belt loop is). Tower placement is incredibly important to getting accurate readings, so I suggest playing around with placement until you get it right. The included charging pad is completely wireless; To charge the Spire, simply place it on the wireless charging pad. The clip is strong enough to easily attach to clothing. The device is also "washable" so it won't be damaged if you forget to remove it from your clothes. ** Functionality ** A real question that probably interests you. IT WORKS OUT?! Well, let me tell you about my experience with the Spire (and why I really like this device). I confess that the first day I used the Spire I wasn't at all sure that it was tracking my breath properly. Day 2 is coming. After leaving the morning class (which Shpil told me I was focused and kept working well), I was stuck in traffic on my way home. After sitting bumper to bumper in a confined space for about 15-20 minutes, my Spire started to vibrate. I checked the iPhone app when I got home and Spire told me I was nervous for 20 minutes. The app gave me several stress relief options including (but not limited to) a quick relaxation exercise and advanced guided meditation. After I finished the guided meditation, Spire told me I was at peace now. These experiences happen almost every day. Spire gets it right 9 times out of 10 and always gives me advice to help put my mind at ease.** Final thoughts **This is not a fitness tracker or a quick fix for a less stressful lifestyle. However, it's the best (and only?) device for accurately measuring your focus, calm, and tension. I've been using Spire for a few days now and it has helped me find a more relaxed state.
