Perfect! Gen 2 Prius (2004-2009) List of ALL required exhaust system parts

This catalytic converter is perfect for my Gen 2 Prius (2004-2009)! I recommend you buy all the parts listed in the photo from Revain (except the Walker gasket part #31379 - see below), including a new tuned pipe and muffler, even if you think your catalytic converter is the only bad one . For reference, the factory exhaust comes in two pieces. The first is a long pipe containing a catalytic converter and a resonator that attaches to the exhaust manifold at the front and the muffler at the rear. Otherwise you will try to cut and clamp/weld that long pipe. You can probably reuse existing rubber hangers, but new ones are cheap and easy to replace once you've taken everything off. The muffler is also relatively cheap and mine had a small rusty hole in the pipe. Here are some tips: *DO NOT BUY the Walker Gasket (Part #31379) that is used to connect the exhaust manifold to the front of the catalytic converter. She won't work. I spoke to Walker about this and others have commented. It's more expensive ($50), but YOU NEED the TOYOTA OEM kit (P/N 17451-21060). * Walker Bolt Kits (P/N 36454) do not ship with nuts that may be required. - not rustproof like the factory system. This means they have been coated with an aluminum coating to resist rust. Don't scrape off the decals with a sharp tool (leave them in place) unless you want the spot to rust quickly.* This is easy to do if you have access to an elevator. If not, don't pay more than $150-$200 for a professional full exhaust installation. It's a very easy job and all the pieces fit together perfectly.
