Quick and easy Best in Car Polishes & Wax

Let me start by saying I'm not a car wash enthusiast or someone who washes their car holy. I'm not picky enough to put the time and effort into applying multiple coats of wax, protectant, etc. to get my car showroom ready. I just bought a 2014 Forester and was looking for something SIMPLE to use without damaging the hose and bucket. I live in the Northeast, where there is a lot of snow, mud and salt in the winter. I'm happy to report that this fits the bill perfectly. I had no problem using it indoors in my garage. The result looked just as good as the detailing which would have cost me far more than what I paid per gallon. Here is my method: 1. Use microfiber cloths, one for wiping and one for drying/polishing2. Spray the finished product onto a body panel until fully saturated. Wait about 15-30s3. Wipe dirt in one direction or in an "S" pattern. Don't rub back and forth. Turn the wipe over or replace it when it gets dirty. Do not keep wiping the dirty area.4. Dry/buff with another microfiber cloth. I used circular motions to polish. If you wipe away the dirt you will see the wax it leaves behind. You want to buff until the wax left over from the wipe is visible.5. Repeat on each section of the car. Change towels as needed. This stuff also works great on glass/tires. For a quick 30 minute job, I think it was worth it. After a few days the wax was still in the form of water droplets and looked great. By spending the extra time and money on traditional methods, you can get extra "brilliance" in the look and finish, but it's obvious whether it's worth it or not. The directions say you can use from the container or dilute 1:1 or 1:2 parts water to mix. My first wash wasn't diluted, the next one I do is 1:2 parts distilled water. I'll post the results when I get around to it.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others
