This is my second time buying this case for my iPad. No, in the first case there were no defects or problems. I ordered a second one to have on hand. This case is strong, durable and reliable. My young child uses the iPad more than me and drops it frequently. For an item this expensive, you want the best protection. That's great protection for little money.
