I haven't built them into walls yet, mainly because I'm still building them. After reading some other reviews of a few modifications I realized it would be worth taking the time and tightening the bolts up a bit. It really does look like recycled plastic in construction, probably good in terms of reuse and cheaper, they were cheap and the extra care taken with installation is a big warning. When I put them in I allow extra time to move slowly, keeping in mind that the firm with the simple and thin tabs they have for attaching to the drywall is probably strong enough. In terms of sound, I used them to match the music. as I am in the process of finishing a basement and so far they have worked very well. Good sound, you can turn them on enough to hear them with headphones too. They seem to sound like what I would expect from speakers that cost more. Update: I've installed them on the wall and ceiling and have had success with both. The main thing I would suggest is to take some time to install each of the 6 handles, by which I mean thread the screws about 3/4 inch through each of them. They're made from newly molded plastic and although they have a hole in them, you have to thread the threads through them once. If you support them, they'll slide off the top, allowing you to get them out of the way. Make sure they're still a little snug and don't let them pull all the way out as they won't put back in every time, especially if you can't see them in the drywall hole. Even if they're tight, they'll come loose easily when you install them in the wall, but are unlikely to break when lowered. Be sure to use a hand screwdriver though, as you don't want to over-tighten them. out of them. They still sound very good and for the price, even with some pre processing, I would buy another set if or if I need something like this in the future.
