I'm too obsessed with my crescent tail, the White Walker, to start with. I had lots of fish as a kid but my dad and I could NEVER keep bettas alive that long so hurry about 12 years ago when I had a walker and was determined to make it thrive. He's honestly the toughest, liveliest little betta I've ever seen, and a real predator (if he sees a mosquito outside his bowl he'll smash the glass like hell to get to a live bug, which I did then kill and give to him). . So of course I wanted to make his Dothraki-style home as natural as possible by filling the aquarium with plants and moss balls, but something was missing. I stumbled across these Catappa Leaves and was immediately intrigued and decided to try them sometime. I then did a home upgrade for little walker which involved a 10 minute struggle to get him safely into the fishing net for a 2 second transport which stressed him out a lot. The next morning I woke up to find my little boy had rust colored streaks/spots on his beautiful white pink blue tail. fin rot. At that moment I knew I should have bought these leaves sooner but I ordered them straight away and put them in my aquarium as soon as they arrived. Walker perked up straight away! Seriously, it was like giving a kid sugar; He ran and danced around the aquarium for the rest of the night and when I woke up he was still happy as a clam! I also noticed that the rust spots on its tail had already reduced significantly (remember this was a VERY minimal case of fin rot found within 24 hours). I also didn't have water in my tank to change the color as some other reviews said these leaves can make the water so dark you can barely see your fish which of course I don't want to do but I wouldn't mind a light amber color. Water. FYI: 14 hours ago I placed 4 mini-leaves in a 2 gallon aquarium and didn't boil them beforehand, so it's possible these factors are responsible for the water not having colored yet. happy, healthy tourist! Bonus: when they decompose, they make a great snack for my little Nerites (Khal and Drogo) that don't require me to clean either. Hooray! **Note that I come across as a crazy fish in this review when I'm really just a crazy woman with too many succulents, 3 marimo terrariums, chicken, 2 horned hornets and a GSD/Husky mix. Why I take on so much care/responsibility is still a mystery to me**
