Review on Filter Balls Aquarium Ceramic Filtration by Teresa Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Do not buy. Poor quality and quantity.

I don't understand all the good reviews. These people should. He goes shopping or uses high-quality branded components; or they don't understand the concept of biofiltration. These balls are of very poor quality. Even if they were high quality, that amount wouldn't be a good deal. Normal quantity for such a price at best IF decent quality. They do not have pores throughout the material or even deep enough. They barely go above the surface - 1/16 inch maximum, but 1/32 inch is most common. White cylinders don't even have pores when you wash them and examine them closely. Speaking of flushing, I had to flush them 5 times before the red flushed out a couple of the "lava" rocks in the bag. A quality product would not have so many residues that are constantly being washed off. Also, I would be wary of placing this product in my aquarium. Judging by the obvious dubiousness of the seller and his goods, it is not clear what the composition of the material is. You may be contaminating your tank and wondering why problems are occurring, without even knowing that part of it is due to this product. We spend so much on our aquariums. Don't take any chances with this product.
