I installed this because I was so unlucky to find a mass air flow sensor that actually worked with my factory ECU worked. After returning over 5 different sensors to different parts suppliers, I was faced with purchasing a replacement at a comparable cost from a GM factory dealer and wanted more bang for my buck. I got exactly that. This fixed my tuning issue and helped restore the lost power and fuel economy of my old engine. I wouldn't buy this product just for the performance increase, but if you're looking for a reliable sensor to replace a failed stock part, you can't go wrong with this product. I have a couple of 4.3L Vortec pickups that I swapped out parts on to make sure I had a bad MAF sensor and saw a direct performance gain that I would like for my 4.3L pickup scored, which was minimal. I would not and would not be in any rush to replace this on all my work Vortec trucks based on these advances and would not recommend it for its power factor unless you drive a 5.7L Vortec.
