Review on TOMSIN LCD Touch Screen Glass Digitizer Replacement Repair Part for Wii U GamePad by Ryan Chaplain

Difficult repair, one wrong move can completely ruin your gamepad.

My screen was scratched but worked so I wanted to replace it to get it looking good again. I thought just because I should put in a new digitizer. I broke one of the latches holding one of the smaller straps in place, now the panel doesn't detect a touch. If I keep the tape in place it works. :( The parts inside are very brittle and break easily and once that happens your gamepad will have another problem. Also, the new screen didn't work. I'm not sure if I messed it up or it was defective gamepad to make sure everything works. Of course I skipped the tape as there are several of them and they are easy to miss. The screen turned on but the touch didn't work. Found this tape (broken latch! Damn it!), now the screen is dark and blurry. I put the old digitizer back in and the screen was perfect but of course no touch. Tried the new one again, still messed up. I chose the old digitizer with the new screen but the new screen broke trying to peel off the adhesive now I'm back to where I started but no touch controls and unfortunately this is e latch part of the gamepad, not the digitizer, so ordering another set won't fix anything. I need to get a new gamepad to get the touchscreen back. Installation Tips: A little tape next to the y version is a pain The tape at the top of the digitizer is the one I broke on the gamepad. Be very careful! Attached to the side of the digitizer is another very small cable that appears to be powering the screen; it is also very sensitive and easy to miss. If your screen won't turn on, make sure you have one. Do not assemble the back of the controller until you turn on the gamepad and make sure everything works, otherwise you will have to loosen/tighten 10 screws. !
