An excellent option for your money. Photos shown: morning sunrise drive, cloudy day, night time. It can definitely be used without the 3-inch sticky clear reflective screen, but the reflection won't be as strong depending on the device. The screen is HUGE. The only downside is that the higher you are, the higher on the window it ends up. transparent but not crystal clear like the windshield itself. So it might seem like a bit of a distraction until you get used to it. I have 6ft 4in and this is installed in a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I wish the images shown were a little more "high tech", especially for the tachometer, but the money factor outweighs it. The supplied adhesive pad is also completely useless. Save time and order 3M double-sided tape, otherwise it won't stick to the dashboard.
