My child's dentist advised me to buy a toothbrush like this for them (both are autistic) as they may have difficulty brushing and sensitivity issues. The bristles clean the teeth from three sides and have an automatic timer. It may seem strange to them when they first use it, but they get used to it immediately. My son said his teeth felt "really smooth" after every brushing. I've noticed that her teeth look very clean since she started. My 8 year old still has most of his baby teeth and my 10 year old has all of his adult teeth and the brush is great for both.
