These days we almost never get tired of a double socket, no matter where it is (well, maybe everything is fine in the basement). But I also don't always need a 10-12 outlet surge protector for every outlet (although I have more than one). That's a good average. It has a good sized cord that gets to most places without being too long and it twists easily so it can be unobtrusive if you don't need the full length. It does not block the second plug in the outlet. The multiple ports mean I don't have to take a wall outlet with a charger, they charge my Apple devices quickly with no hassles, and the PD is a nice addition that has now become a must-have in our home, although we always do still need normal old USB. Versatility is good here. As they say it won't charge your laptop but it's great for tablets and phones and of course regular electrical devices. You can also turn sockets/ports on and off at will which is nice too. If you have huge rocks they can overlap as it's a small area, but the smaller adapters will fit easily without blocking each other. I also like that it can stand on end (or you can mount it) so we made it on top of a bookshelf which makes it even less visible/more in the way. Very good product.
