Review on Orbital sander BOSCH GEX 125-1 AE eccentric by Adam Wojtczuk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

I worked for a little over a month with glued pine furniture panels. Yes. The hooks on the sole are small (like green diapers have diapers), but they hold the disks tightly. Technically, these are not even hooks, but counter-directional protrusions. That is, in one row there is a ledge up, a ledge down, etc. The problem is even to remove the circles after work. Circles of the average price range - Kendo. I put them on from the diameter to the edges, as advised by Bosch. I don’t set the diameter relative to the rows, as I have to, I choose. (date of manufacture of the machine - 02/2022, Malaysia). I grind without pressure, just under its own weight, the machine rolls on the shield. A transparent dust collector does not give an idea of the level of dust, with the same success it could have been made entirely black, after a few seconds of operation it is completely covered with dust from the inside and the level is not visible. Maybe it's because of the lack of grounding. Since those crumbs that seep past the intake holes settle on top of the dust collector, that is, static is not removed. And the main thing is the noise. Before that, I worked with Metabo FSX 200. There was less noise, or it was not so nasty. This machine even in the off state has some rustling when you turn the cup by hand. No idle stop found. As I understand it, it should reduce idle speed. In my opinion, at idle, the sound changes, but becomes even more vile. The rotational speed seems to affect only the rotation (at unity, the sound is generally acceptable), on soft pine at frequencies less than three, the disk stops rotating at all, but the eccentric works and can be sanded. The cup in the center has a large cutout for the protrusion on the typewriter, that is, if you take a cup from another manufacturer (for example, with a large number of dust extraction holes), you will need to drill it out so that it sits on the seat on the typewriter itself. (Not tested yet). In general, I am satisfied with the machine, only I do not like the sound, but this may be a subjective feeling.

Pros
  • Powerful, high-quality grinds, a long cord, with a native dust collector there is practically no dust, the discs hold with a bang.
Cons
  • The amount of dust is not visible in the dust collector, it is very noisy (maybe this is just for me).
